I am at heart, an artist. Someone that loves design, lifestyle and art. Having studied interior design for a
few years, I have a very keen sense for aesthetics and creating beautiful and functional living spaces. My
small home in India designed and decorated by me was published in the Me Magazine of DNA in October 2006.
My love for cooking inspired me to author my first cookbook – Aromas of Sindh; 100 recipes from the
heart! It is my miniscule contribution to the rich heritage of the world’s oldest culture from Indus Valley.
Each recipe is from the heart, desirous of preserving and furthering our cuisine and our culture across
the globe.
I am a very keen Yoga enthusiast and practitioner and have been one for over 20 years. Yoga keeps me
calm, balanced and energetic.
I find time to learn the Sitar and Kathak and had the opportunity to perform a winning Kathak recital at
the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts, NY along with my Guru and her troupe

I am a musician; mostly into Hindi and Bengali music. I sing and I play the acoustic guitar. Deeply selective and philosophical, I am somewhat of an introvert.
I am plugged into the political landscape, more as an observer of power dynamics and its study. I like stand-up comedy and talk shows that have a dry sense of humor.
I have grown up on RD Burman, Salil Chaudhary, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits. Among the current crop, I like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Sachin Jigar and Pritam.
